Pitching Event Showcases Community Initiatives Under SIDA-Funded Project
After months of hard work and creativity, the big day has arrived!
Under the project “Strengthen the Capacity of Crisis-Affected Community Groups and Enhance Their Agency to Confront Hazards and Respond to Their Communities’ Needs through Group Cash Transfers”, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), we are excited to share the progress of our participants.
On December 16 and 17, nine groups pitched their innovative initiatives, including psycho-social support, school rehabilitation, afforestation, fire suppression preparedness, and creative digital solutions for managing official documents during crises, along with many other impactful projects.
The jury, composed of UTOPIA Association and Oxfam in Lebanon, provided valuable feedback and insights throughout the process, guiding the groups in refining their ideas.
Now, six groups will move forward to the Group Cash Transfer phase, where they will receive both financial and technical support to bring their initiatives to life.
A huge congratulations to all the participants for their dedication and innovation!
