UTOPIA Concludes the “Baynetna: Dialogue & More” Project After Three Years of Community Dialogue
Closing Ceremony Marks the End of the “Baynetna: Dialogue & More” Project
The Baynetna Dialogue Project concluded with a closing ceremony organized by UTOPIA, marking the end of three years of work dedicated to strengthening community dialogue in Tripoli, Akkar, and the Bekaa. The event brought together project partners, municipalities, civil society organizations, universities, community centers, and participating citizen journalists.
The event marked the conclusion of a three-year initiative dedicated to creating spaces for dialogue and encouraging constructive discussions around key community issues in Tripoli, Akkar, and the Bekaa.
Presenting the Project’s Journey and Key Outcomes
During the ceremony, a presentation showcased the different phases of the Baynetna: Dialogue & More project, highlighting its main activities, milestones, and achievements.
The presentation also introduced the dialogue formats developed by citizen journalists, which were designed to respond to the realities of local communities and encourage inclusive conversations across different social groups.
These dialogue initiatives helped create platforms where community members could exchange perspectives, raise concerns, and discuss issues affecting their daily lives.
Addressing Community Concerns in Tripoli
Among the key issues discussed throughout the project was the growing concern around buildings at risk of collapse in Tripoli. This topic emerged repeatedly during dialogue sessions and community discussions.
By highlighting this issue through dialogue and citizen-led content, the project contributed to increasing awareness and encouraging broader conversations about urban safety and community responsibility.
Recognizing Partners and Citizen Journalists
The closing ceremony also included a recognition segment honoring the individuals and institutions that supported the project. Several partners were acknowledged for hosting activities, facilitating discussions, and contributing to the production of digital content.
Certificates of participation were also distributed to the citizen journalists, who played a central role in facilitating dialogue sessions, documenting discussions, and producing media content that amplified community voices.
