Children might be interested in material objects, but you have something much more valuable to offer them: a chance to exercise language skills! Most are delighted to do so, and hand games and high fives are something that can easily be explained in basic English and can be used amongst themselves for days to come.

“El-Matbakh: Community Kitchen and More” stands as a cornerstone of our community’s compassion and support. As part of the Youth RESOLVE 2 project, the Qalamoun Youth Committee proudly inaugurated this vital initiative: a community kitchen devoted to serving meals to those facing hardship. With a special “Mouneh” section celebrating traditional Lebanese preserves and local products, our kitchen embodies our dedication to uplifting our community.

Since its inception, the kitchen has been a beacon of hope, symbolizing our commitment to addressing food insecurity. Attended by local community representatives, the grand opening marked a significant milestone in our mission. During the event, we distributed packed lunches to 200 beneficiaries, reinforcing our pledge to assist the less fortunate.

Today, our kitchen remains steadfast in its mission, serving as a hub for various projects aimed at providing nourishment and support to those in need.
