Empowering Citizen Journalists: A Workshop on Nonviolent Communication

As part of the “Baynetna: Dialogue and More” project, UTOPIA Association recently organized an intensive two-day workshop in collaboration with Forum ZFD Lebanon. The workshop was tailored for the citizen journalists group, aiming to strengthen their nonviolent communication skills and enable them to engage in constructive dialogue within their communities.

Participants took part in a series of interactive exercises and role-playing activities, gaining practical tools and techniques to improve their communication abilities. The workshop also emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration, building a stronger sense of connection and shared purpose among the participants.

This initiative highlights UTOPIA Association’s dedication to equipping individuals with the skills needed to drive positive change and contribute effectively to creating more inclusive and harmonious communities.

“Baynetna: Dialogue and More” is a project implemented by UTOPIA Association with the support of DW Akademie Middle East / North Africa. It aims to empower citizen journalists in marginalized areas of North Lebanon, Akkar, and Bekaa through providing comprehensive training and support to facilitate the creation of diverse dialogue formats tailored to the specific contexts of these regions.
