As part of the “Baynetna: Dialogue and More” project, UTOPIA Association hosted an engaging dialogue session under the theme: “The New Aspect of Jobs in the Artificial Intelligence Era”. The session took place at Al-Ilm Wal Iman High School in Akkar Al-Atiqa, drawing the participation of 46 enthusiastic high school students.

Engaging Youth Through the “World Café” Format

Using the interactive World Café methodology, students and citizen journalists engaged in dynamic discussions about the rapid changes reshaping the labor market. The session offered a platform for young participants to voice their thoughts and explore how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming current and future job opportunities.

Key topics discussed included:

  • The impact of AI on traditional jobs

  • Emerging career fields in the digital and tech sectors

  • The importance of critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability

  • The need to update educational paths and skillsets to remain competitive

This timely conversation helped raise awareness among youth about the evolving employment landscape and the essential role of future skills development in navigating a world increasingly driven by AI and automation.

A Generation Ready for Change

The session reinforced the value of open dialogue and community-based learning in preparing the next generation for the challenges and opportunities of the future. It also emphasized the role of schools and civil society in guiding young people toward informed career decisions and proactive skill-building.
