Our Citizen Journalists: Mastering the Community Dialogue Facilitation

Aug 5, 11 AM

As part of the “Baynetna: Dialogue and More” project, our dedicated citizen journalists participated in an intensive 2-week training. Over the course of 6 days, participants honed their skills in organizing and facilitating impactful community dialogues.

The training aimed to equip our journalists with the tools necessary to lead meaningful dialogues within the community. To put their newly acquired skills to the test, they hosted a trial session, inviting community members to engage and provide valuable feedback.

The insights gained from this experience will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of our future dialogue events, ensuring more meaningful and productive interactions that resonate with the community’s needs and aspirations.

“Baynetna: Dialogue and More” is a project implemented by UTOPIA Organization in partnership with Deutsche Welle Akademie Middle East / North Africa. It aims to empower citizen journalists in marginalized areas of North Lebanon, Akkar, and Bekaa by providing comprehensive training and support to facilitate the creation of diverse dialogue formats tailored to the specific contexts of these regions.
