Training Cash for Work Workers under “Sustainable Water Access & Community Empowerment Project in Bab Al Tabbaneh and Wadi Al Nahle”

Aug 12, 11 AM

As part of the “Sustainable Water Access and Community Empowerment in Bab Al Tabbaneh and Wadi Al Nahle” project, our first cohort of 12 community workers, engaged through the Shabake 2 program’s cash-for-work initiative, recently participated in their first meeting.

During this session, the community workers were introduced to the project’s objectives and received comprehensive training on crucial topics such as waterborne diseases, best water practices, and personal hygiene. With this essential knowledge, they are now fully prepared to lead and empower their communities through upcoming awareness sessions and hygiene promotion activities in Bab Al Tabbaneh and Wadi Al Nahle.

By equipping these community workers with the necessary skills and information, we are working together to foster healthier, stronger communities. Through their efforts, we aim to make a lasting impact on the well-being of the residents in these areas.

The Shabake 2 project is supported by AFD – Agence Française de Développement – and the Centre de Crise et De Soutien and implemented by the French public agency for international technical cooperation, Expertise France.
